This privacy policy helps users understand what personal data eSend Finland Oy (“eSend”) collects and how we process it. By using our services you accept the processing of personal data described here. The collected personal data is used to provide and develop our services. We do not use or share personal data in any way other than described in this policy.
This privacy policy has been prepared in accordance with sections 10 and 24 of the Finnish Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Processing of personal data
The general legal basis for processing personal data includes legitimate interest, customer relationship, the customer’s consent, an assignment from the customer, or the exercise of rights and obligations arising from agreements and legislation between eSend Finland Oy and the customer.
eSend collects the following data in its customer register: name data, email address, phone number, cookies, location data, IP address, and any media file.
The register may include personal data that arises when using services (e.g. eSendERP®) and personal data stored on eSend’s website such as cookies and Google Analytics data (e.g. location data, IP address).
We may collect personal data that arises during customer relationships and is needed to manage that relationship. During the customer relationship personal data may be enriched (profiling), e.g. through contacts and/or discussions. Data enrichment always relates to handling that specific customer case.
eSend also collects personal data arising from marketing actions as well as personal data acquired from commercial registers. Personal data may be enriched, for example through contacts and/or discussions. The register is intended for managing customer relationships, marketing, and developing services. Data in the register may be processed for customer relationship management and marketing purposes.
Transfer of personal data
Data may be disclosed within the limits permitted and required by applicable legislation. eSend may disclose personal data to partners for marketing or customer relationship management purposes.
As a rule eSend Finland Oy does not transfer or disclose personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. However, data may be transferred or disclosed outside the EU/EEA in ways permitted by data protection law if:
- The data is transferred to a country where the European Commission has deemed the level of data protection adequate, or
- Contractual arrangements can guarantee an adequate level of data protection, or
- The customer has given consent to the transfer.
International online service providers used by the company ensure the security of their own services through EU-U.S. Privacy Shield arrangements.
Data security
The security of eSend Finland Oy’s customer register and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data are ensured with appropriate technical and administrative measures.
Data and services are protected through, for example, firewalls, physical protection of equipment rooms, access control, user permissions, encryption technologies, and active monitoring of the aforementioned.
Personal data is protected from unauthorised access and unlawful or accidental processing.
Your rights
A person whose data is stored in eSend Finland Oy’s customer register has the right to check the accuracy of their data. A request for inspection must be addressed to eSend Finland Oy’s contact person in writing and/or orally, and a record must be made of it. eSend Finland Oy is obliged to verify the request and provide the personal data in electronic or paper form within one month (30 days).
A person whose data is stored in eSend Finland Oy’s customer register has the right to request rectification of the data when necessary. A rectification request must be addressed to eSend Finland Oy’s contact person in writing and/or orally, and a record must be made of it.
If personal data is no longer needed to manage the customer relationship, the person has the right to request deletion of their data from eSend Finland Oy’s customer register. The deletion request must be delivered to eSend Finland Oy’s contact person in writing and/or orally, and a record must be made of it.
You have the right to refuse marketing communications from eSend Finland Oy by contacting us via email. If you opt out of marketing communications, you may still receive administrative notices from eSend Finland Oy such as order confirmations and notifications about your account activity.
Changing cookie settings
You can change your cookie choices at any time. Adjust them by deleting the stored consent cookie and reloading the page.
Changes to this privacy policy
eSend may from time to time change and update this privacy policy. All changes will be updated in the online services. By continuing to use the online services after such changes you accept the revised privacy policies.
